About the Blue Pearl Trout Fly
The Blue Pearl represents an insect or fly in an early stage of its development and can be fished successfully throughout the season.
This pattern works wonders on still waters, especially when fished very slowly on a floating line and as long a leader as you are comfortable with (18 ft). Its weight allows the fly to cut rapidly through the surface film and get to the required fishing depth quickly.
A very slow figure-of-eight retrieve is normally best although if there is a lot of buzzer activity on the water, fairly fast stripping can also work well.
Country of origin for this trout fly: Scotland/England
This trout fly is designed to be fished on Dams & Reservoirs, Still Water
