About the White and Grizzle Tinhead Trout Fly
The White & Grizzle is a modern day adaptation of Jeanette Taylor's Tinhead, with a marabou tail, grizzle hackle and eyes painted on the tinhead. It has proved to be incredibly effective on still water throughout the UK.
It sinks fast, which is ideal when the trout are lying deep, however, you can search by starting your retrieve when your fly reaches any level in the water column until you find the "feeding level".
Expert Tip:
Superb search and attraction lure fly for still waters everywhere.
Country of origin for this trout fly: UK
This trout fly is designed to be fished on Dams & Reservoirs
Pattern Dressings
- The tinhead is actually tungsten, a non-pollutant metal head that gives all the action of the original.
- Fortunately tungsten is of a similar weight and is a great substitute for the original lead which is now illegal as it pollutes the waterways.
