About the Claret Pennell Trout Fly
The Claret Pennell is best used as a wet fly when the buzzers are fighting their way to the surface.
It is an extremely versatile fly, the smallest version mimics the midges and is an effective top dropper as one of many natural flies. The large size should be sunk and fished as a lure. Tied bushy it is a splendid dapping fly.
