Pattern Dressings
- Hook : 8-14.
- Silk : Black 8/0.
- Under Body : An optional layer of lead can be applied.
- Body : Cover thread or lead wrapped shank with a layer of antron body yarn. Glue is applied over the wool and the hook dipped into a pile of sand and any excess is then shaken off.
- Thorax : Fluorescent green wool, floss or yarn.
- Hackle : Black hen hackle.
Uou can create an effective customised caddis larva simply by changing the sand to fine gravel or any other material you find at the bottom of the river, stream or brook you intend to fish.
