About the Cormorant Booby Trout Fly
The Cormorant Booby is a dark buoyant pattern that is best used on a sinking line and very short leader.
It is a versatile fly that can be be presented hovering temptingly just above the bottom, where the fish are often lying during the early part if the season.
A slow jerking retrieve will create a sink and bobbing motion that is very tempting to even the wariest of fish.
If the fish are just below the surface flash it quickly over the surface to create a wild turbulent wake which will often lead to violent, slashing takes.
It is ideal for bank fishing on still waters or reservoirs.
