In March, we managed to reel in a fresh batch of those irresistible Apaches;
just the Cut-throats and the Black Apache this time round. We gave a
heads-up to our fellow anglers who had their eyes on these specific
patterns, yet there's still a chance to grab a few. If you are not
successful, then don't worry, you will get the option to register your
interest and be notified the minute more stock arrives.
It's no surprise that our top three chart-toppers this month are the freshly restocked Apaches.
Even better, the next pattern in 4th place is a brand-new pattern called the Herefordshire Alder.
This detailed little dry fly would have soared straight to top spot if
our killer Apaches hadn't stolen its thunder. It's rare to see new
patterns make waves so fast, so it is certainly one to keep in your
flybox as spring starts to warm things up.
Weighted buzzers and lures dominate the chart, both big and small. The Klink n Dink
dropper pattern has proven ideal, with its handy tippet ring tied into
the pattern. It has been a chilly month, with fish still hugging the
bottom, so keep this collection in mind for the weeks to come.
