It's interesting to see that June last year, the Pearly Daddy and Apache White swapped positions in number 1 & 2 spots. This pair are still the most popular fishing patterns to fish with in June.
The similarities stop there however! Apaches are popular throughout the year, however they have seen a surge this year with 4 patterns being in the chart (previously only a single Apache pattern has made it's way into a June's Top 10 Chart). While they make great all year rounders, it is nice to keep fishing the dries while you have the chance through the spring and summer; after all, where's the fun in relying on a single type of pattern?
With only a week away until the Summer, we have 4 great dry flies in the chart. The Driffield Dun peaks it's popularity in June and is a great pattern to fish with right now. The Parachute Adams has a longer popularity right through the summer months, and the Sparkle Gnat has a longer popularity from the begining of spring right the way through the summer months.
Also not to be forgotten, the Hamill's Killer, a classic killer New Zealand pattern impersonating a fry. Although popular in New Zealand, the vast majority of orders this month are from the UK and Canada.
