Top Ten Flies for February 2018

This month we've been hit with more cold spells, causing a drop in fly activity. Only the hardy trout fly fishermen are out on their local lake that remains open, and we know that they are being rewarded for their efforts! They are still catching as we have had a steady flurry of new catch photos uploaded this month for our catch competition being announced next week!

The cold spell has not discouraged Salmon fishermen, to the contrary, the early Salmon season takes off to a flying start as many rivers opened in February, and the effects are shown within our top 10 chart. A record of 4 salmon patterns have appeared within the chart, helped by the reduced trout activity.

These trending flies show a great impression of what is happening on the water at the moment, and directly shows what patterns other fisherman are using to catch those fish! You can now keep track of our historic charts too.
